Your New Hospital: It's 2032's problem now...
Masterfully Speading the Fairy Dust: How to claim victory, while funding only 1/3 of a hospital, and spreading it out over 7 more years. Or perhaps forever.
The current government often claims it spent record amounts on Health (but when you take account of population growth and inflation, economists say it actually fell).
The current government often says it spent $16 billion on Health in 3 years, while critics say that it's fudging the numbers, that the real number is half that, with the govt’s slippery accountants having inflated the numbers by spreading out costs out til 2030. Someone else’s problem by then, I suppose.
So when the current government says the “Hospital is On Track”, it’s only natural to ask, which track? The electrified third track?
People have asked for an update and here it is.
