This was an absolutely depressing article. The writer is actually an employed journalist at Stuff discussing how tenuous…how precarious his economic life is.

He feels, like many younger people today, that there is little hope. Rent is exorbitant and unaffordable. Owning a home is someone else’s dream, perhaps for a landlord but not for a young person with a regular job.

Our young today enter a world where they can’t afford electricity to heat their apartments, petrol, educational debt, or sometimes even groceries.
