When powder containing 'proprietary secrets' is dropped on you, should they really be trade secrets anymore?
You may have seen in the news that parts of Los Angeles are burning.
A BBC story on fire retardants being dropped on the LA fires piqued my interest today, because it had the echoes of the tragic story of PFAS.
These were a class of chemicals that proved excellent at stopping fires. Pretty much every Air Force base in America practiced with PFAS fire retardants regularly. For decades.
And now we know that these chemicals are quite toxic to humans.
