The Health Leader Lester Levy, tried to polish a turd:
(From the Herald) Health NZ revised its deficit for the 2023/24 year down from nearly $1 billion in October to $722 million in its annual report yesterday.
Said Newsroom: He did this creative accounting by attempting to include anticipated redundancy payments and Holidays Act payment remediations which were happening in the 2024/25 year in the previous years accounts.
Wait, what?
