I’d like to share with you a video from a talk I gave this week for a critical care paramedic course at AUT. Thanks to Norm Wilkinson for coordinating things and sharing the video:

If you like science, you might enjoy it. As a warning, it does talk about fatal and non-fatal drowning.

It’s based off my work in emergency medicine, and my roles as medical director of Surf Life Saving NZ, councillor on the NZ Resuscitation Council, and serving as the past Chair of the Medical Committee of the International Life Saving Society.
